Joshua Becker was my original inspiration years ago for simple living. Simple living that I would hype myself up and “purge” the house of everything unneeded or unnecessary. Only to find myself back in the same house with more things that needed. Ugh. Why in the world was it not working for me? For us? How in the world did we just do another trip to goodwill only to stop at a store (I’m looking at you Target) and buy unless things on the way home. Now, I can look back and laugh… well cringe. It was a simple concept. Simple enough to let it go but why did it come back… worse than before? It sounds more obvious now that it’s written out and hindsight is 20/20, right?
Now that we are on our simple journey and still finding things, we don’t need even in 300sqft, we realized it doesn’t have to do with the word “minimalist”. Minimalist is a catalyst. A start to a stop. While it sounds frank, there are many road bumps, blocks and obstacles along the way, and it is a never-ending journey.
We have accumulated a lot of knowledge and resources along the way. We’ve curated a running list (we will continuously be adding to!) of our favorite minimalist things. Whether it be a podcast, book, documentary, or even tips., tricks and ideas these are all here to inspire you!
