I contemplated “servants” as the title for us. According to the huskies, we are here to make their days easier, brighter and serve their ever-beckoning call. Matilda, here, the crazy dog mom behind the musings. Matt and I have been together almost 16 years. Married almost 11 of those. I’ll lovingly refer to Matt mostly as either hubs or pawpa. We met on Myspace summer of 2008 and have been doing life together ever since. We have amazing moments and we’ve had tower moments. Miraculously, we survived and thrived through it all. As a Pisces, I am a wonderer, my head is in the clouds, daydreaming and thinking of the amazing things we can do. Hubs is here to keep me anchored and practical. He has always been my rock to lean on and I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side. When we decided to “Let it go”, we really teamed up and held each other accountable…. again, hub’s is like 16 pumpkins… why. We both were laughing, and I honestly had no answer other than well their cute. He persisted with where will 16 pumpkins go in 300sqft. I can’t even at this point because I know he is right.
We now have time to enjoy life and make wonderful memories together. Since throwing caution to the wind, we are more content, we smile easier, and we are able to make our time, energy and love count where it matters most. Life is not about the destination, it’s about the journey along the way.
